From our observation , we saw that Secondary One students have been stressed lately. In this post , we will explain what causes it ! But first , we shall break down the situation !
What is Their Situation?
As
a Secondary 1 students ourselves, we know the struggle of trying to keep up with the
workload while still trying to spend time socialising. Many people say its not that big of a jump from Primary 6 to Secondary 1 , but its not that true. There
is a lot of new things that they are exposed to at the same time , so they
might not be able to grasp onto them so easily , which makes things harder.
The Effect
Due
to all the things the Secondary One students had to do, they may get stressed by the amount of pressure
shoved into their faces. They would not want to
disappoint anyone by not doing well , so they go an extra mile to maintain
those good grades.
For example , they stay up until 2 or 3 am to study for all
the topics they did not understand after doing their homework for almost 4
hours straight. This may lead to the students lacking sleep , making them wake up on the
wrong side of the bed in the morning. This will affect their mood , and then may affect one’s relationship with others. They
would sacrifice their family time to study , and that could upset one’s family
members.
Summary
The students have an unbalanced life as they get too worked up over their work to focus on socialising. These students do not know how to balance their work and socialising properly so we are here to give you some tips on how to have a balanced life.
